AFC Testifies on the New York City FY 2025 Preliminary Budget — Children & Youth
AFC testified at the New York City Council Preliminary Budget Hearing on Children and Youth about the need for continued funding for Promise NYC, which provides early childhood education and for children who are undocumented.
The City launched Promise NYC last year to increase access to early childhood programs for children who are undocumented, but the Mayor’s Preliminary Budget does not include funding to continue this crucial initiative. Without continued funding, hundreds of children risk being turned away from their program after June.
