More Ways to Support Our Work

With the support of generous donors like you, AFC is able to protect the education rights of thousands of New York City children.

Join AFC’s Leadership Circle

AFC’s Leadership Circle is a community of major donors who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the AFC mission by making significant three-year pledges that provide critical long-term funding to support our work. Members in the AFC Leadership Circle, which offers four levels of participation, receive invitations to events and public recognition on AFC’s website and at AFC’s annual Spring Benefit.

To inquire about membership in the AFC Leadership Circle, please contact Ivette Greenblatt, Director of Development, at igreenblatt@advocatesforchildren.org or (212) 822-9529.

Make a Planned Gift

Make a Recurring Donation

By becoming a recurring donor you are providing Advocates for Children with a steady and reliable income to help fund our programs and allowing us to focus more energy on helping our students and families in need.

Here are just a few ways your monthly gift can make a difference:

  • Only $10 a month – Pays for an expert to counsel a parent on our Helpline about the educational and support options available for a child with autism.
  • Only $25 a month – Provides a webinar sharing up-to-date information to parents and professionals.
  • Only $50 a month – Provides three hours of attorney time to prepare for and attend a meeting with the Department of Education to resolve a dispute over the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for a struggling student.
  • Only $100 a month – Helps provide expert legal counsel to an immigrant parent that allows them to access a quality education.

To join our Recurring Gift Program,  please complete the information on our online donation form.

Honor Someone Special

You can make a donation to honor someone; to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday, marriage, anniversary, graduation, or retirement; or to remember someone who has passed away to celebrate the difference they made in your life.

Your gift will help students and their families receive the expert counsel, guidance, training, and information they need to get the quality education they deserve and have a real and lasting impact on a child’s life. To make a tribute gift, be sure to complete the “In Honor” or “In Memory” fields in our online donation form.

Fundraise for AFC

Inspire others to join you in supporting AFC’s important work. We will work with you to customize a fund, campaign, or event that works for you and your friends.

  • Set up a fund or campaign

Help AFC to serve children and families by setting up a special fund or fundraising campaign in your or a loved one’s name or to commemorate a special life event such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or bar or bat mitzvah.
