Our Work

AFC's on-the-ground experience enables us to spot emerging trends in the NYC school system, identify systemic problems, and develop effective recommendations for change. We issue policy reports, meet with elected leaders, testify at public hearings, and speak out in the press to bring attention to the challenges facing the students and families we serve.

Our City Budget Priorities

Learn more about AFC's advocacy priorities for this year's City budget. We're calling on elected officials to sustain key education programs whose funding will expire in June 2024, and to increase funding to make more schools accessible in the next 5-year Capital Plan.
