Charter schools have different laws and accountability structures than NYC community schools, but they do have to uphold certain student and parent rights. This workshop will cover the rights of students in charter schools, including students with disabilities, promotion policies and students facing suspension or expulsion. We will discuss the legal obligations of charter schools and offer advocacy tips for parents.
