  • Kendall's Story

    Kendall graduated from Cooke’s high school in spring 2015, and with AFC's continued assistance, is beginning the transition to adulthood in Cooke's SKILLs (Skills and Knowledge for Independent Learning and Living) program, which helps young adults with disabilities build independent living and vocational skills.

    Gabriel, a kindergarten student with speech delays, needed a bilingual class and speech therapy but the DOE wasn't responding to his mother's pleas for help.

Demand Fair Funding for NY Public Schools

For the first time in 17 years, NYS leaders are reexamining the formula used to decide how much education funding, or Foundation Aid, school districts get from the State for each student. Join us in asking Governor Hochul and the NYS Legislature to update the formula to give all schools the funding they need.
