WRCR | After 17 years, New York State is re-evaluating its school funding formula. Foundation Aid’s formula has long been considered outdated, but lingering pandemic problems have only exacerbated the issue. The Rockefeller Institute is studying the issue, with education advocates suggesting learning loss from the pandemic and the youth mental health crisis have made this change more necessary.
