Publicamos informes de políticas y análisis de datos, testificamos a nivel municipal y estatal, hablamos en la prensa para llamar la atención sobre los desafíos que enfrentan los estudiantes y las familias a las que servimos, y nos unimos a otros defensores, padres, jóvenes y educadores para pedir cambiar.

    AFC testificó ante el Panel de Política Educativa en apoyo a la propuesta de la Ciudad de incluir $750 millones para mejorar la accesibilidad escolar en el Plan Capital 2020-2024. Esa inversión en accesibilidad, la más grande de la ciudad hasta la fecha, literalmente abrirá puertas para incluir e integrar a personas que con demasiada frecuencia quedan excluidas debido a sus necesidades de accesibilidad.

    AFC and the ARISE Coalition (coordinated by AFC) both testified before the New York City Council Committee on Education regarding the provision of special education services. The City must do more to extend the vision of equity and excellence in education to students with disabilities and to ensure that the needs of students with disabilities are considered and addressed in every DOE policy decision.
