AFC signed onto an amicus brief in J.N. v. Oregon Department of Education challenging the Oregon Department of Education’s practice of imposing shortened school days on children with disability-related behavioral challenges. The amicus brief argues that the practice violates the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”), Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
