The alternative would be a teacher trained to teach children of all backgrounds English, but without the support of a teacher knowing the language.\u00a0<\/p><p>She said it is also vital for the city to provide students with emotional support, with many having traumas or struggling to adjust to a new\u00a0 country.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cIf you can imagine for a second sitting in a classroom where everything is happening in English, you can understand how frustrating and maybe just demoralizing that feels for a child,\u201d she said.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecity.nyc\/2022\/8\/25\/23321984\/migrant-asylum-children-project-open-arms-schools\" target=\"_blank\"><em>\u0427\u0438\u0442\u0430\u0442\u044c \u0441\u0442\u0430\u0442\u044c\u044e<\/em><\/a><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecity.nyc\/2022\/8\/25\/23321984\/migrant-asylum-children-project-open-arms-schools\" target=\"_blank\"><em><\/em><\/a><\/p>","":null,"settings":[]}}],"relationships":{"":null,"article_type":[83],"topics":[22,27],"misc_topics":false},"misc":{"search_results":{"":null,"excerpt":"","featured_image":""}}},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
