AFC's Right to Learn Campaign
August 2022
Dear friends,
On behalf of Advocates for Children of New York (AFC), we are excited to introduce the AFC Right to Learn Campaign as part of our 50th Anniversary celebration.
The Right to Learn Campaign aims to position AFC for its next half century by raising $5 million in private funding over the next three years. The money raised will sustain AFC’s core services, which support approximately 20,000 students and their families annually, and deepen its impact on students at greatest risk for school-based discrimination in the New York City public schools. The Campaign comes at a critical time, with students still suffering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on their academic, social, and emotional growth. Our city needs AFC, with its unique expertise and its focus on equity, to remain strong, innovative, and effective in the decades to come. Learn more about the Campaign’s goals for investments in AFC’s future.
Thanks to the unanimous support of the AFC Board of Directors, the dedication of the Right to Learn Campaign Committee, and the generous donations of our Anchor Donors, we have made significant progress towards raising our $5 million goal and invite you to join us on the next phase of our Campaign.
Your gift to the Right to Learn Campaign will help to ensure that AFC can stand strong beside students in the next 50 years.
Sincerely,
Brian Friedman
